Effective Supervision offers discussions on such subjects as discrimination, employee disruptions in the workplace, positive and negative discipline, wage and hour administration, leaves of absence, performance reviews, identification of workers’ compensation, unemployment management, how to avoid a wrongful discharge, employment at will and other contemporaneous subjects.
Forms and Documentation explains the importance of documenting employment events using simple language and consistent forms that attempts to hedge employer liability. This training class is supported with a fifteen chapter compendium entitled EZ-HR®. The compendium has been used since 1984 by hundreds of supervisors and U.S. companies as the standard by which employment practices can be utilized for consistency. Practical Legal Considerations for Decision Making presents a series of discussions that are driven by the various laws that guide employment practice decision making by supervisors and management. The course is not offering legal advice but only the information necessary to make good decisions using laws as guides. The presenter will discuss such topics as Title VII of the Civil Right Act and discrimination issues; Americans with Disabilities Act; Pregnancy Discrimination Law; Policy v. Written Law; The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission; and other material issues.
